Breast cancer is a major health problem and you need to know if you have symptoms or signs of breast cancer. Women, men also have breast cancer, as I wrote in my last newsletter. According to the recent survey worldwide, breast cancer is the second most common type of cancer after lung cancer and fifth most common cause of death in the world of cancer. Breast cancer is a serious disease that affects women. This is a terrible disease that women around. In medical terms, this disease can be defined as a formation of malignant cells or tissues of the breast. The disease was defined as heterogeneous.

This means that the disease is different and different forms of women of different age groups. Young women are more vulnerable to this disease. The cancer grows rapidly every day. There are many types of cancer that is almost impossible not to know who has been touched by him. One of the most rapid growth of the cancer is breast cancer. It’s important for us to know what the symptoms of breast cancer are needed so that we can get early treatment, which increases our chances of a quick recovery. Breast cancer has risen steadily since 1970 and its rise is often attributed to a modern Western lifestyle.

And ‘the number 2 most common form of cancer worldwide and is the number 5 most common cause of cancer deaths. For women in North America, is the second leading cause of cancer death after lung cancer. Chances are, if you have breast cancer, probably notice symptoms before everything goes haywire. You may find a lump in one breast or both. There may be a discharge from your nipples. The skin around the breast may change color or texture. The size and profile of your breast may change. I think the smartest to do when you notice any symptoms of breast cancer is to relax. It’s true, do not run off for a mammogram yet. Obviously, you do not want to wait forever before finding what is happening, but taking some time now to education could pay big time on the road. I recently heard of several cases of breast cancer, which led me to write about the symptoms of breast cancer, and things that a woman must learn to identify breast cancer in the first place .

As with any cancer early detection gives you a better chance of survival, and be sure to get the right treatment with the medical staff on the right. You may think that the things the doctor said that not only makes sense for you. And if you have additional information or options, you have no luck. Education is probably the smartest thing to do when you notice symptoms of breast cancer. There will always be your body and if you believe it or not, you still have the power.

Men are vulnerable to prostate cancer. This type of cancer is a common cancers, especially among American men. Questions and answers for prostate cancer are important for man can avoid buying or even detect prostate problems symptoms. After all, “better safe than sorry. Key questions and answers about this: What is the prostate? Prostate gland is “the male reproductive system that produces most of the fluid is semen, the thick fluid that carries sperm. The walnut-sized gland located below the bladder and surrounds a man’s urethra above, the tube that carries urine from the bladder. dependent prostate is regulated by testosterone, a male sex hormone produced mainly in the testicles. “As we develop? When this happens?

The tumor grows very slowly. According to doctors, prostate cancer occurs when cells of the prostate gland grow out of control. There are early signs of prostate cancer? It is sad to note that there are no signs of cancer of the prostate. However, there are men who admit to having symptoms of prostate infection, such as difficulty urinating and / or discomfort. What are the options for the treatment of a person with prostate cancer? There are six options that a patient with prostate cancer may choose: surgery, chemotherapy, hormone cryotheraphy, and / or radiotherapy. The earliest signs of prostate cancer in men is noticed or reported the best. This is to avoid very complex medical processes.

or those who have no symptoms of prostate cancer early, doctors usually recommend “watchful waiting”. One patient was observed for some time until doctors are able to know the root and can not take care. What are the prejudices of prostate cancer? The first three (3) the myth on this subject are as follows: # 1. Although prostate cancer is widespread, few men die. This is absolutely false. According to a survey, prostate cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death in men in the United States. # Older men are more susceptible to the acquisition of prostate cancer. Because there are early signs of prostate cancer in men, which does not exclude younger. Young people have not apologized to this disease. The only truth in this myth is that some men who are in their 40s or 50 are diagnosed with prostate cancer. # 3 You do not have prostate cancer if you do not have prostate problems symptoms.

There is a test PSA testing. The screening of prostate cancer. No symptoms of prostate problems or warning signs of prostate cancer does not mean they do not. To be sure whether or not you have PSA tests. What is the PSA test? What are its uses? PSA stands for prostate specific antigen. Wikipedia says it is a protein produced by cells of the prostate gland. PSA is present in small quantities in the serum of normal men and is often elevated in the presence of prostate cancer and other prostate disorders. A blood test to measure PSA is considered the most effective test currently available for early diagnosis of prostate cancer. The increase in PSA levels over time are associated with both localized and metastatic cancer of prostate.

ACS has revealed that cancer is the second most common element of death, not only the U.S. but also worldwide in 2006. They felt that the United States until 2009 292.540 men and 269,800 women die of cancer.

The type of cancer for men and women is cancer of the lung and bronchus. secondary type for men is prostate cancer, while for women it is breast cancer. The study revealed a reduction rate of deaths especially in prostate cancer because of early detection and treatment.

The signs of prostate cancer in men should be taken seriously know that if a man has this type of cancer, it has a better chance of survival. If the first symptoms of prostate cancer are diagnosed, there is the possibility that the patient or prostate cancer victims will be given new cancer drugs or be able to withstand the latest treatment of prostate cancer. What are the signs of prostate cancer in men? This complaint is common in the questions and answers for prostate cancer of the article or the newsletter. The problem is that men do not know the early signs of prostate cancer. Usually, doctors can not identify a victim of cancer of the prostate immediately. Patients are identified or diagnosed accidentally due to other diseases that the doctor that the patient a. If doctors do a physical examination that the examination of the finger, it might be time to find a tumor or an enlarged prostate.

Based on observation, this is what the patient experience of prostate cancer:

Men who have this cancer urinate frequently during the day and night.

You are having problems starting and stopping the flow of urine. Sometimes you have to urinate, but are not really able to urinate. Or are they able to urinate, but breaks the flow of a watercourse or very low. Only a very small amount of urine is released.

They have a weak or interrupted flow. If men with prostate cancer is able to urinate or pee, he feels that his bladder is still full. Doctors call this the feeling of a full bladder.

They feel excruciating pain during urination or ejaculation.

You see blood in the semen or urine.

The pain is felt by them in the lower back or pelvic area. Know the signs of prostate cancer among men is not enough.

The above symptoms may also be signs of other diseases. To make sure that if you do not have this type of cancer, a man can undergo prostate specific antigen (PSA). PSA is respected, the most effective test currently available for early diagnosis of prostate cancer. It measures the prostate specific antigen in the blood. If you have had PSA and the result is negative, you should be grateful about it. If you are a man fifty years ago, are likely to have prostate cancer. To clear your fuzzy thinking, the object of SAP. The first know that you have cancer of the prostate, the better the chance for you to enjoy the last treatment in prostate cancer.

Coffee and general caffeine intake may affect a woman’s levels of estrogen and other sex hormones, a new study suggests — offering a potential explanation for findings that link caffeine to certain cancers.

Several studies have found connections between caffeine and breast and ovarian cancers, though the findings have not always been consistent.

For instance, different analyses of the Nurses’ Health Study (NHS) — a large, long-running study of U.S. female nurses — have linked higher caffeine intake to lower risks of breast and ovarian cancers in postmenopausal women, but to a higher risk of ovarian cancer before menopause.

No one knows whether caffeine directly affects the risks of the cancers. But since estrogen and other sex hormones play a role in both diseases, it’s possible that caffeine affects the risks of the cancers via hormonal influences, note investigators Dr. Joanne Kotsopoulos and colleagues at Harvard Medical School.

The team looked at the relationship between coffee and caffeine intake and hormone levels among more than 1,200 women involved in the NHS.

At various points during that study, the women had completed questionnaires on their diets and other lifestyle factors, and provided blood samples. Kotsopoulos and her colleagues used those stored samples to measure the women’s levels of estrogen and other sex-related hormones.

Overall, the researchers found, the more coffee and caffeine a premenopausal woman consumed, the lower her levels of estradiol, a form of estrogen, during the second half of the menstrual cycle.

Meanwhile, higher caffeine intake was related to higher levels of another sex hormone, progesterone, the researchers report in the journal Cancer.

The findings were somewhat different among postmenopausal women. For them, greater coffee and caffeine consumption was linked only to higher levels of sex hormone-binding globulin, or SHBG. Some studies have linked higher levels of SHGB — which decreases the activity of estradiol and testosterone — to a lower risk of breast cancer in postmenopausal women, Kotsopoulos and her colleagues note.

Exactly what the current findings mean is far from clear, according to the researchers.

In theory, lower estrogen levels in premenopausal women would help protect against ovarian cancer — so the findings do not explain the earlier results linking higher caffeine intake to a higher risk of premenopausal ovarian cancer.

Still, the researchers write, the results do suggest that caffeine influences sex hormone levels. They say that more studies are needed to see how those influences may affect hormone-related cancers.

Cancer has grown as death full disease and it could attack on everyone, any gender in any age. To prevent it we must pay attention on our habits eating.

Here are rules that you must follow as healthy diet for cancer prevention :

Eat at least five servings of fruits and vegetables each day

A recent report sponsored by the World Cancer Research Fund and the American Institute for Cancer Study estimated that eating 400 or more grams daily of fruits and vegetables could prevent at least 20 percent or more of all cancers. In addition, those who eat the highest amount of fruits and vegetables have been shown to have one half the cancer risk as those eating the least amounts.Plant-derived foods contain phytochemicals, nutrients that act powerfully to prevent a healthy cell from turning cancerous.

Phytochemicals have been studied for their role in boosting detoxification of the cells and stimulating the immune system, as well as their anti-bacterial and anti-viral properties—all hugely helpful in maintaining a healthful inner environment that reduces the likelihood of cancer from forming. Fruits and vegetables are high in vitamin A and beta carotene, the B Vitamins, Vitamin C, and essential minerals.

Choose foods from other plant sources, such as breads, cereals, grain products, rice, or beans several times each day. Limit consumption of refined carbohydrates, including pastries, sweetened cereals, soft drinks, and sugars. Choose whole foods that are rich in complex carbohydrates, vitamins, and minerals over minimally-processed or highly-processed foods.

Eat plenty of fiber. Fiber moves cancer-causing compounds out of the body before they can create harm. It is also thought to dilute potential carcinogens, and may effect hormone production, thus lowering the incidence of hormone-related cancers like breast and prostate cancers. The National Cancer Institute recommends 20-30 grams of fiber per day. Foods rich in fiber are:

Whole grains such as barley and oats, oat bran, and nuts

Apples, bananas, blackberries, citrus fruits, pears, and prunes

Lima , kidney, pinto, and navy beans, chick peas, black-eyed peas, and especially lentils

Brussel sprouts, carrots, tomatoes, potatoes, and broccoli

To help you increase the fiber in the diet, the Cancer Research and Prevention Foundation suggests that you substitute:

brown rice for white

whole wheat bread or rye for white

black beans for ground meat

bran muffin for croissant or pastry

popcorn for potato chips

unpeeled apple for applesauce

baked potato with skin for mashed potato

bean dip or salsa for sour cream dip

Partake of healthy fats. Healthy fats are good for you, in moderation. Olive oil, for instance, has been shown to reduce the risk of breast cancer. The human body needs fat for normal cellular functioning. So when you eat fat, replace saturated fats with unsaturated fats. These include sunflower, corn, and soybean oils (polyunsaturated fats) and canola and olive oils (monounsaturated fats). Two of the most beneficial fats are omega-6 and omega-3 oils, known as essential fatty acids (EFAs). The body cannot manufacture these fats, so they must be provided through the diet. Omega-6 fat is found in abundance in vegetable oils, margarines, mayonnaise, and salad dressings; omega-3 fat in fish, fish oil, and green plant food sources, especially spinach and mustard greens. Omega-3 fatty acids from fish oil have been shown to have an anti-carcinogenic effect in the laboratory.

Strengthen your immune system. The Wellness Community website put together some eating suggestions for maximum immunity.

Carcinogens are cancer causing substances found in food. Take the following precautions when making your food choices:

Avoid foods that look or smell moldy, as they likely contain aflatoxin, a potent liver carcinogen. Aflatoxin is most commonly found on peanuts.

Do not cook oils on high heat. Low-heat cooking or baking (less than 240 degrees) prevents oils or fats from turning carcinogenic. When possible, replace heating and frying with boiling or steaming.

Beware of cured, dried, and preserved meats. Nitrates and nitrites are compounds used to cure meat, and are metabolized into a substances called nitrosamine during the curing process. Nitrosamines are found in cooked bacon and sausage, cured pork, and dried beef. They are known to be a potent carcinogen. Nitrosamines are also formed during the drying process when beer is manufactured. The highest levels are found in dark beers.

Go easy on the barbecue. Burning or charring meats creates substances called heterocyclic amines (HCAs), which are released when high heat is applied to a compound called creatine, found in animal blood and tissue. HCAs are most often associated with cancers of the gastrointestinal tract, though some laboratory studies have suggested a connection to lung and breast tumors. One study of more than 40,000 women found that those who consistently ate well-done meat were nearly five times more likely to develop breast cancer than those who ate their meat rare or medium-cooked. One way to reduce HCAs before barbecuing is to pre-heat the meat in the microwave, which dries up some of the juices and the creatine. This does not, however, eliminate the HCAs altogether.

Steer clear of smoked foods. Carcinogenic substances called polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) form on the surface of food during the smoking process.

Buy organic if possible. Additives and pesticides found in commercially grown produce and processed foods are also suspected carcinogens. It is best to buy organic fruits and vegetables whenever possible. The Physicians’ Desk Reference (PDR) website offers a few simple steps you can take to protect yourself from food contaminants :

Use waxed paper rather than plastic wrap when microwaving.

Wash or peel all fruits and vegetables. Use a vegetable brush for washing. Washing does not eliminate all pesticide residue, but it will reduce it.

Buy local produce whenever possible. It is less likely to have been treated with chemicals to prevent spoilage than fruits and vegetables that travel a long distance to the market.
